Superstar Ed Sheeran endorses art to support Rethink Mental Illness

Ed Sheeran has joined with Johnny Depp and Rethink Art to create unique klecksography to support Rethink Mental Illness, a UK mental health charity.

Ed Sheeran supports Rethink Mental Illness”

— Rethink Art

LONDON, LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, March 22, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Ed Sheeran has given his support to the work of Rethink Mental Illness, a mental health charity in the UK, by endorsing art created with Rethink Art. Rethink Art is a independent creative gallery that uses art to raise awareness and support for mental health. Together, Ed and Rethink Art have used klecksography to support Rethink Mental Illness. Klecksography or inkblot art, is an iconic example of how we all see and interpret art differently. In this project, Rethink Art aims to help us appreciate that 1 in 4 people will have a mental health story at some time in their life and it's important to see the whole picture from different perspectives, including what might be hiding. Recently, Johnny Depp gave his support to the Celebrity Klecksography of Rethink Art alongside other names such as Orlando Bloom, Dua Lipa and Chris Martin. All original art will be sold during 2019 to exclusively support the work of Rethink Mental Illness. For now, and to greater support the charity, Ed has very kindly agreed to Rethink Art releasing a series of just 100 'Ed Sheeran Klecksography' limited edition fine art giclee prints taken from the original. These highly sought art prints join those of Johnny Depp and are available exclusively at rethinkart.co.uk with £100 from the sale of each Ed Sheeran print being given to the charity by Rethink Art.

— Dean Rotbart

DENVER, COLORADO, UNITED STATES, March 21, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Newly appointed Nebraska State Poet, Matt Mason, is a guest on Monday Morning Radio, the popular weekly business-to-business podcast hosted by Dean Rotbart, an award-winning former reporter for The Wall Street Journal.

The podcast is available for free at www.tinyurl.com/MMR031119 or from the iTunes store at http://tinyurl.com/mmr-itunes.

Mason and Rotbart explore the role of creativity in society as well as in business.

“Do the arts matter, and if they do, why?” Rotbart, asks.

Mason is eloquent in his affirmative response, as well as explaining his goals for his new position.

In January, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts selected Mason as the state’s newest poet.

It’s a position whose roots date back to 1921 and highlights the fact that the Cornhusker state is quite fertile ground for literary excellence.

For almost ten years, Matt has served as executive director of the Nebraska Writers Collective, a nonprofit group that promotes poets in the schools and organizes quality poetry programs for adults.

As the Nebraska State Poet, Matt plans to travel the state – from schools to prisons – sharing his love of poetry, supporting the state’s writers, and inspiring Nebraskans from all walks of life to express themselves creatively.

As Monday Morning Radio host and reputation coach Dean Rotbart – himself a Pulitzer Prize nominee when he wrote for The Wall Street Journal – points out, Matt joins a lengthy honor roll of Wizard Academy graduates who have been recognized globally for their creativity and professional excellence.

Launched in June 2012, Monday Morning Radio features some of the country’s most-innovative business owners and experts. The program is produced in cooperation with the nonprofit Wizard Academy, an Austin-Texas based school for imaginative, courageous, and ambitious entrepreneurs.

Tamia Bethea Williams of Champion In Me to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

SMITHTOWN, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, March 21, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — There is a champion within everyone.

Tamia Bethea Williams is a certified transformational coach and the founder of Champion In Me, where she teaches people how to step into lives they truly love living. Tamia works with her clients in the domains of health, relationships, careers, creative expression, finances and time management.

“Old beliefs are the reason why so many people are stuck,” says Tamia. “To be a champion, and live the life you hope to live, you have to want it. Together we can overcome whatever it is you’re going through, and I will do the best that I can for you.”

Tamia came up with the name Champion In Me after the birth to her son, Damian, who is severely mentally disabled.

“He lost oxygen when he was born,” recalls Tamia. “It was predicted that he would never walk, talk, feed himself, go to the bathroom, and he would probably be dependent on me for the rest of his life. Still, even though he could not do everything a ‘normal’ child could do, he could do a lot, and there definitely was a champion inside of him.”

No longer able to teach school while caring for Damian, Tamia was introduced to multi-level marketing, where she learned about products that helped her son. She also learned to engage people who were stuck in all areas of their lives and became very interested in coaching and teaching and training.

“Some were stuck in relationships. Some were stuck financially. Some in their career, in their health,” says Tamia. “I figured if I could help them to get unstuck, then they could really become all that they could be.”

Tamia is certified through The John C. Maxwell Group and Mary Morrissey's Life Mastery Institute in California. Within her own practice, Tamia will soon be hiring coaches to teach her curriculum.

“I see coaches all over the world and we can take the world by storm,” says Tamia. “We can heal the world one person at a time wherever they are, in any area of their lives. That's really making an impact.”

Tamia is also the author of I Was Blessed with Angels, in which she recounts Damian’s story. Now 26, Damian is an amazing young man that has exceeded the expectations of his doctors.

“Damian is an amazing young man, such a joy to be around,” says Tamia. “He walks, talks, feeds himself, goes to the bathroom by himself. He attends a day program every day, but wherever he goes, he lights up the room.”

I Was Blessed with Angels is available online at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

CUTV News Radio will feature Tamia Bethea Williams in an interview with Doug Llewelyn on March 25th at 12pm EST and with Jim Masters on April 1st at 12pm EST.

Nonprofit Leaders Furnish Tools for Success at Tampa Bay Charity Coalition Luncheon

Dr. Veronica Walters led a panel discussion with successful non-profit leaders at the March luncheon for the Tampa Bay Charity Coalition.

In putting this coalition together, we wanted to provide a platform for networking and collaboration for the greater Tampa Bay area non-profit community.”

— Dylan Pires, Community Affairs Dir. of the Church of Scientology FSO

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, US, March 21, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Clearwater, FL – On Wednesday, March 20, more than 50 nonprofit representatives gathered in the Crystal Ballroom of the historic Fort Harrison for the Tampa Bay Charity Coalition’s bi-monthly Networking Luncheon. Sponsored by the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization, the luncheon was highlighted by a panel discussion with four leaders in the non-profit arena.

The panelists represented a broad spectrum of charity types – from Karena Morrison and her Benevolution Foundation; to Pam and Joel Anderson and the Clearwater Community Volunteers; to Neil Brickfield and the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Police Athletic League. The panel was moderated by a thirty-year veteran in the field of education Dr. Veronica Walters.

Questions from the audience included; ‘How do I get my group more well-known?’ ‘How do I fundraise?’ and ‘How do you stay motivated?’ This provoked a very lively discussion with some inspirational answers.

“I spend about 350 hours putting up and taking down Winter Wonderland every year,” said Joel Anderson, who is the Deputy Chairman for the Clearwater Community Volunteers. “Some days are hard – I am taking down the stage by myself because volunteers don’t show or something. Then I remember why I do this. I do all of this so I can see that first kid at Winter Wonderland who sits on Santa’s lap – who would not have any Christmas other than what we have put there. It gets me every time.”

Guests were encouraged to go out and talk to people, face to face, in order to grow their network of potential donors and volunteers.

“I use facebook,” said Karena Morrison, “but the most valuable interaction that I have is face-to-face, talking to people.”

Following the presentation, guests networked and got to know each other better.

Dylan Pires, Community Affairs Director of the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization said, “In putting this coalition together, we wanted to provide a platform for networking and collaboration for the greater Tampa Bay area non-profit community. Together we can create a safer community and society at large as Humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard once wrote, ‘A community that pulls together can make a better society for all.’”

The next Charity Coalition function will be the on the 15th of May in the Fort Harrison Crystal Ballroom. To attend or for more information about the Charity Coalition please contact Dylan Pires at (727) 467-6860 or dylanpires@churchofscientology.net.

Clearwater Community Volunteers Center Celebrates Year One of Helping Those Who Help Others

The Clearwater Community Volunteers and its center host community events towards the benefit of families and children in need, including events in the Osceola Courtyard, site of the Center’s First Anniversary Celebration.

The opening of the CCV Center last year marked a point where we were able to help that many more, as evidenced by the growth of non-profits who have been working with us since then.”

— Pam Ryan Anderson, Exececutive Director of CCV

CLEARWATER, FLORIDA, US, March 21, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Clearwater, FL – The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV) Center is celebrating its first year of helping non-profit organizations by throwing a family-oriented festival for the community. The event will take place at the Osceola Courtyard (201 N. Fort Harrison Ave) on March 23rd. The event begins at 2pm with a short introduction from Clemence Chevrot, Director of the CCV Center, and Pam Ryan-Anderson, Executive Director of CCV followed by performances from Tampa Bay Area schools such as Washburn Academy & Clearwater Academy International.

“The Clearwater Community Volunteers has served the Clearwater community for 27 years”, said Pam Ryan-Anderson, Executive Director of CCV. “We began our mission in 1992 to help children and families. The opening of the CCV Center last year marked a point where we were able to help that many more, as evidenced by the growth of non-profits who have been working with us since then.”

Five non-profit organizations – Clearwater Academy, Community Learning Center, Global Community Tennis, Clearwater Community Gardens and Stone Square Masonic Lodge #42 – will have booths at the Anniversary Celebration so they can promote their cause to all those who attend.

The CCV Center assists non-profits by providing meeting and event space at no cost to the non-profit, helping non-profits to organize fundraisers and event, and also by project management so that non-profits can better establish themselves. Events have included tea parties, educational seminars and musical entertainment. Non-profits have also learned to write press releases, make themselves better known through social media marketing and create logos. The services are provided at no cost and in its first year of operation alone 85 different non-profit groups have been assisted by the center.

Michael Soltero, Manager of the CCV Center said, “The CCV Center gives non-profits the tools they need to positively affect society. Our goal is to increase the effectiveness of these charitable organizations, helping create what Humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard once wrote about in the Aims of Scientology; ‘A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights.’”

Over $1 Million in Grants Awarded to Colorado Governments

Colorado SIPA, your public sector partner, makes tech simple

Colorado SIPA's Micro-Grant program has awarded over $1 million to state and local governments across Colorado

DENVER, CO, USA, March 21, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — Colorado SIPA, which runs the state’s official web portal Colorado.gov, has awarded over $1 million in grants to state agencies and local governments, special districts, K-12, and public universities since the Micro-Grant program’s debut in 2010. The Micro-Grant is an example of what Colorado SIPA, a self-funded government authority, does best: provide secure, cost-efficient and effective opportunities for governments to connect with their residents.
The Micro-Grant program is one of the most exciting and innovative ways that SIPA gives back to Colorado. This year, over $150,000 will be awarded to 34 different government entities; each with an innovative community project with the goal of putting more information and services online to connect residents to government.
“Every year, we continue to be impressed at how resourceful and creative state and local governments can be in utilizing individual grants of only a few thousand dollars,” said Jack Arrowsmith, SIPA Executive Director. “It is important that Colorado governments have the opportunity to complete projects for the communities that they serve.”
The winners of this year’s Micro-Grants made it through a 3-tiered application review process, from SIPA’s team of professionals to a Board of Directors Committee to full Board approval. After more than a month of reading and prioritizing grant submissions, the recipients are announced below and will be honored at this year’s Micro-Grant Award Ceremony following the annual SIPA User Conference on April 16, 2019. Colorado state and local government, special district and public education employees are welcome to join us at the conference and Awards Ceremony as well as look out for our next Micro-Grant Application season to begin November 2019. You can view our Micro-Grant recipients and register for the User Conference at www.colorado.gov/sipa.
