Dr. Marc Brackett, founding Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence today released his new book, Permission to Feel – a personal and professional journey to discovering how emotions drive learning, decision making, creativity, relationships, and health.

Good Morning America did a first look at the evidence-based work as ABC Correspondent Deborah Roberts sat down with Dr. Brackett: GOOD MORNING AMERICA INTERVIEWS Dr. Marc Brackett

As he told Deborah Roberts, “I want everyone to become an emotion scientist, We need to be curious explorers of our own and others’ emotions so they can help us achieve our goals and improve our lives.”

Dr. Brackett has devoted the past 25 years to conducting research in the field of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and developing RULER – an evidence-based approach to SEL, which stands for Recognizing, Understanding, Labeling, Expressing and Regulating emotions.

RULER has been successfully integrated into over 2000 schools in the US and around the world. Public, private, and independent schools, including many large districts in New York, Connecticut, Illinois, Oklahoma, Washington, and California have seen measurable success for both students and teachers.

“Permission to Feel and my career path was inspired by a simple question that my uncle asked me, “How are you feeling?” Because he listened without judgment and helped me to learn strategies to handle my feelings, my world instantly expanded,” said Dr. Brackett, “I had been through some major trauma in my young life and although it seems like someone would have checked-in with me about my feelings, no one really did. My parents were too worried and traumatized themselves.”

Dr. Brackett’s time with his uncle was the first time he felt safe talking about the bullying and abuse he endured. He wasn't alone and he wasn't wrong to feel scared, isolated, and angry. Now, best of all, he could do something about it.

Since then, Dr. Brackett and his team at the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence have spearheaded innovative research and he has traveled the world on his mission to bring this work to schools, businesses, and homes. “I am proud of the work we are doing in schools, in all kinds of workplaces, and with families. I know that the simple tools we’ve created like The Mood Meter and teaching the RULER skills can serve everyone. I am excited for people to read the book to gain insight into how to better their lives and the lives of those they interact with,” adds Brackett.

In a recent story on emotions in the workplace, Dr. Brackett said, “All of the research is getting stronger to make the case that people with more developed emotional intelligence tend to be physically and psychologically healthier, experience greater well-being, make more informed decisions and do better at work, whether it’s around creativity, performance or problem-solving.”

Crystal Ball Expert Robin VerCande to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

GRASS LAKE, MICHIGAN, UNITED STATES, September 2, 2019 / — When most of us imagine a crystal ball reader we think of a flamboyant gypsy hunched over a ball or how the Wicked Witch of the West used it to spy on Dorothy in the movie The Wizard of OZ. But in reality a crystal ball reading shows glimpses of your life and loved ones, offering us genuine insight and guidance to many of life’s unanswered questions. One particularly exceptional woman’s path led her to be the world’s foremost expert on reading crystals. She is not a phony as portrayed on film, but rather a genuine human being with a passion for helping others.

Robin is an ordained Minister, Public Speaker, past life regression, Reiki practitioner, and the world’s leading expert on crystal ball readings.

“The crystal ball reveals powerful images and symbols about love, career, health and happiness,” says Robin. “My mission is to truly help people in the ways they genuinely need to be guided.”

Since she was a young child Robin sensed she had miraculous psychic abilities. When her family began to realize Robin’s extraordinary gifts her mom enrolled her in all types of “New Age” classes. At twelve, Robin completed A Course in Miracles, at thirteen years old she began reading Tarot cards for others and leading younger children in guided meditations through the Unity Church, and at fifteen she was enthusiastically exploring crystals and gemstones. But it was the clear quartz crystal that literally intrigued and truly “spoke to her.” With her clear quartz crystal ball, which radiates high vibrational energy and positivity, Robin helps clients connect with their spirit guides and get answers to life’s most important questions.

“Although I do Reiki, spiritual readings, and tarot cards my favorite way to read is by using a crystal ball,” says Robin. “If you look online and research crystal ball reading it will describe scrying but that’s completely different from the work I do. My specialty is crystallomancy which is a very ancient practice of divining the past, present, and future. I also do soul counseling so when I’m doing a reading if someone is really struggling and overwhelmed I tap into their best selves and their guides show me the most effective ways they can move forward in life.”

The clear quartz crystal balls Robin uses has a lot of distinct markings with a few lines and a little bit of cloudiness. Robin taps into where we are all connected and whoever she’s reading for. Their spirit guides will talk to her spirit guides and show her pictures within the markings inside the crystal ball. When Robin looks into the ball a picture forms and she then informs them precisely what she sees.

“Most of the people who seek me out have lost so much hope,” says Robin. “Many are nervous that their readings will not be to their liking but your spirit guide wants you so desperately to love yourself and to have the most optimal life. So everyone should expect the best to come through in their reading.”

According to Robin, when you make wishes you should always say ‘I wish for this or better.’ Because what we hope for is not always what is best for us. There can always be better. As a medium and psychic Robin doesn’t claim to see someone’s whole entire life, rather she sees snapshots of what their spirt guide wishes to reveal. It’s critical to recognize that our Spirit guides are extremely gentle and will provide a reading that’s enlightening and promising, helping people find deep solace and comfort assuring them that their loved ones are alive and happy on the other side, sometimes including animals and our beloved pets. According to Robin, those that have passed are still continuing to learn and grow so our souls are continually evolving.

“The whole notion of “going back home” after our lives are done on Earth is really about going where we belong and where we are loved the most,” says Robin.

Robin also does past life regressions. This is done through a gentle meditation not hypnosis. You are aware of what’s going on and will be able to do this meditation on your own afterwards to find more details.

“My passionate hope is that people who are so boggled down with anxiety will find peace and healing,” says Robin. “If you can sit down with your authentic self that possesses no guilt, shame, or any negative emotions whatsoever and you ask your authentic self what they would like you to know you will discover how deeply you are loved. We are all loved.”

CUTV news will feature Robin VerCande in an interview with Doug Llewelyn on September 4th 2019 at 3 p.m. EST

Rong360 Jianpu Technology Survey: How do Modern Chinese Families Choose Where Their Children Will Go for the Summer?

Rong360 Jianpu Technology (NYSE:JT)

Rong360 Jianpu Technology Summer Break Survey-Class preference in different regions

Recently, Chinese parents have tended to spend more money on their children’s extra programs during summer vacation.

BEIJING, CHINA, September 2, 2019 / — Recently, Chinese parents have tended to spend more money on their children’s extra programs during summer vacation. The saying "a half year’s salary couldn't support one child’s summer" has gone viral on Weibo.

So how many classes do children need to attend during summer? To find out the answers, Rong360 Jianpu Technology Inc. (NYSE:JT) released the questionnaire "Sharing Children's Bills – A Survey on Summer Vacation Economy" to hear the voices of the parents.

Among all types of classes, the most popular ones are English and Math Olympics, with nearly half of the respondents choosing such courses. Especially in first-tier cities, more than 60% of respondents have said their children have taken classes in those subjects.

Children in first-tier cities are also active in sports programs accounting for more than 40% of the participants. Among all the sports programs, swimming is the most popular one, chosen by 68% of respondents. 30% of respondents choose taekwondo, 20% choose basketball, 16 percent choose table tennis and only 4% choose soccer.

As for performing art classes, dance ranks first with 71.88% of respondents choosing it. 28.13% of respondents chose singing, while only 9.38% chose traditional Chinese folk arts.

When it comes to music lessons, piano is the most common choice. 61.54% of respondents said that their children have participated in piano classes. Mr. Wang from Beijing has also arranged piano training for his child. He said he spent tens of thousands of RMB on a piano for his child to practice at home.

However, an overseas study tour, which despite recent increasingly popularity is still a rare choice, with only 2.84% of respondents selecting it. It is worth mentioning that 11.11% of respondents in county-level cities and suburban areas have participated in such a study tour, while only 1.06% in first-tier cities have done the same.

"The children are too young," said Mr. Wang, a ten-year-old girl’s father. "They can't remember anything and the trip is too short. It's hard to tell what effect it will have on them." The high cost of overseas study tour is also one of the reasons for his reluctance to participate. "My child’s teacher has organized a study tour abroad once. Each student was charged 20,000 RMB (roughly 2857 US$) for a week's study tour. If the expenses of parents are included, the cost would be around 50,000 RMB (roughly 7142 US$). It’s too much,” he said.

Hands On Laparoscopic Course

Hands On Laparoscopic Course

After taking World Laparoscopy Training Institute laparoscopic course surgeons will be able to do the taught laparoscopic surgery their own on their patients.

Skilled Surgeon Safer Surgery”

— Dr R K Mishra

DUBAI, DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, September 1, 2019 / — Dubai is the largest and most populous city in the United Arab Emirates. It has clearly established itself as a major center for trade and investment in the Middle East, and, increasingly, it is taking shape as an important regional study destination for laparoscopic surgery as well.

World Laparoscopy Hospital has opened its branch at Dubai healthcare city, Dubai. The Laparoscopic surgery training course at World Laparoscopy Training Institute is created and designed in such a scientific manner that after this laparoscopic surgery training program surgeons and gynecologists will be able to do all the taught laparoscopic surgery themselves on their patients. This international training institute imparts training of all essential laparoscopic procedures, using real-time training equipment and real animal dissection in one of the most advanced animal labs. World Laparoscopy Training Institute invites Specialist General Surgeons, Obstetricians & Gynaecologists, Urologists and Pediatric Surgeons from all over World.

Training laparoscopic surgery is known to be difficult and has different challenges for the teacher, particularly given the fact that contrary to open surgery, only one operator can really be “hands-on” at a time. Since training sessions are limited, these should be optimized. After 20 years of experience of imparting laparoscopic training in India, World Laparoscopy Hospital, India under the direction of Dr. R.K. Mishra has opened this another branch of laparoscopic training in Dubai. Situated at Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai, World Laparoscopy Training institute is being considered as one of the best institutes to learn laparoscopic surgery in the Middle East.

No wonder. Dubai is home to more than 200 nationalities today, and 90% of the city’s population comes from abroad. Majority of the Dubai population is from India. Roughly two-thirds of the world’s population is within an eight-hour flight, and the city is widely recognized for its outstanding transportation and communications infrastructure. US News & World Report recently ranked the UAE as one of the best countries in the world in which to begin a career, as “one of the Gulf’s most liberal countries”, and as the safest Arab-majority country.

As we reported last year, the UAE is the leading country in the world in terms of the number of doctors attending for postgraduate medical education. Recent International research indicates that there are several international medical institutes across the UAE, with nearly half of those in Dubai.

Only about 12% of the surgeons and gynecologists in Dubai are native Emiratis. In contrast, Indian students, the largest single nationality in Dubai, make up just over a third (34%) of the total enrolment. Pakistan, Egypt, and the UK are also well represented. For all those surgeons and gynecologists World Laparoscopy Training Insitute gives a unique opportunity to develop their skill of minimal access surgery.

Surgeon or gynecologist who wants to get admission at the world's most advanced laparoscopic training institute now comes to World Laparoscopy Training institute and consider their training at Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai. The course meets the guidelines as established in the "Framework for Post Residency Surgical Education and Training" and is ENDORSED AT THE GOLD LEVEL by the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).

Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) is the World's largest integrated healthcare Free Zone which attracts more than 1.2 million patient each year. World Laparoscopy Training Institute is situated in the heart of Dubai Healthcare City and has an educational license by Dubai Health Care Regulatory to ensure compliance and enforcement of international quality standards. Courses of World Laparoscopy Training Institute is recognized internationally by World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons.

MyTEFL’s Job Placements

Job interview

Getting the job

MyTEFL's superb job placement process makes them a cut above the rest.

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, September 1, 2019 / — With TEFL being the booming industry that it is these days, it can be pretty hard for the discerning consumer to pick a good course. Some are great, some are mediocre and some shouldn’t be touched. It’s important to do your research and make sure that the course you’re choosing is a quality, accredited program that will be recognized by employers all around the world.

So apart from accreditation and international recognition, how does one choose the right course for them? A few factors one might consider are cost, course format and customer care/service.

However one of the biggest aspects of customer care that makes great TEFL courses stand out from the merely good ones is the level of assistance you receive in finding a job after completing your TEFL course.

Most TEFL course providers will help you with your resume/cover letter and provide you with some job listing websites in your destination of interest.

At myTEFL however, we go above and beyond and we are very proud to be one of the only TEFL course providers that offers direct job placement in ten countries and online. Direct placement means that we arrange everything up to and including the Skype interview for you with partners we work with in your destination of choice. These partners have all been carefully vetted by us so you can rest easy knowing that your employer will be safe, reliable and legal in addition to providing top salaries and benefits.

Now direct placement does have some requirements, they’re a little different for each country and full requirements for the countries you’re interested in can be viewed on our jobs page but the four big ones are;

Completion of our 120 hour professional course – Most employers require a minimum of 100 hours of TEFL coursework.

A passport from a native English speaking country – Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or the United States of America.

A bachelor's degree – In any major, if you don’t have a degree you might be interested in one of our internships.

Meeting the age requirement – The age requirement is different for every country but the average is early twenties to late fifties.

The reason for these requirements is due to visa regulations in place by foreign governments. They set the rules for foreign national work permit issuance and our partners in each of their respective countries must comply with these regulations. They are not set by myTEFL and we have no say in the matter.

Not meeting the requirements doesn’t by any means mean you can’t become a TEFL teacher, you’ll just have to apply for jobs independently and we’ll still help you as best as we can; with making your documents, providing you with job postings and by helping you ace that interview.

Assuming you meet the requirements, applying for jobs through the website is easy! You simply select the country you’re interested in and scroll down to the bottom of the page where there will be an “apply now” button. Clicking the button will open a window where you can upload the necessary files. This includes things like your resume, cover letter, degree, photo etc.

Once you have gathered and submitted your documents, our placement team will look them over and potentially send some things back to you (usually resume and cover letter) with recommended edits. Once the final edits are done, our placement team will send everything over to our partners in your destination of choice.

These partners will then get in touch with you to set up a date for your Skype interview. Our placement team will give you some interview tips and sometimes even a list of questions that you can expect during the interview to help you be better prepared.

MyTEFL graduates’ applications are prioritized by our partners so you’ll be “jumping the queue” so to speak and if the interview goes well (they usually do), it’s time to celebrate your new job! Your employer will take over from the placement team here and start sending you the necessary information/documentation to begin applying for your visa and booking your flight. Once you land in the country, your employer will typically pick you up from the airport and help you find accommodations. Getting a TEFL job abroad has never been so easy!

So what are you waiting for? Your adventure begins as soon as you register for your TEFL course, check out our website over here!
