Insider Insights to help Entrepreneurs Develop a Winning Strategy to Help them Succeed in Securing SBIR or STTR Funding for their Technology Innovation.

SBIR funding is an incredible resource for our deep technology entrepreneurs. We created this course to help entrepreneurs approach this funding source strategically.”

— Nicole Toomey Davis, Enclavix President & CEO and VentureWrench co-Creator

SILICON SLOPES, UTAH, US, September 2, 2020 / — The VentureWrench™ Startup Community from Enclavix™, LLC today announced its new course to help entrepreneurs learn to succeed with the federal SBIR and STTR funding programs for innovative technology companies.

The course, Develop a Winning SBIR Strategy:  Insights from an Experienced Reviewer, is now available.

The SBIR and STTR programs provided a combined total of over $3.73 Billion ( in early stage, non-dilutive funding for America's small technology businesses in 2019.  The programs are referred to as "America's Seed Fund" and are the single largest source of early stage funding for deep technology in the U.S.  Crucially for entrepreneurs, SBIR and STTR awards are either grants or contracts rather than either loans or investment.  The entrepreneur gives up no equity and has no repayment requirement providing they complete the work outlined in the grant or contract.

The programs are administered in two phases.  Phase I awards help the agency assess the capabilities of the small business and is the opportunity for the business to demonstrate the feasibility of their technology approach. About half of Phase I awardees win Phase II funding to further develop their proposed innovations.  Phase I awards can total over $250,000, depending upon the agency, while Phase II awards can top $1.68 million.  Both phases may include enhancements and matching funds to outside investment depending on agency specifics.

VentureWrench co-creator Nicole Toomey Davis has been a long time reviewer for the SBIR and STTR programs and Enclavix has received multiple Phase I and Phase II awards.  She wants more entrepreneurs to be able to take advantage of this valuable source of capital.  However, the programs are government contracting programs and come with their own complexity.  This new course is designed to help companies better navigate the programs and builds on the VentureWrench original 5 Star online course, "Improve Your SBIR Proposal."

Key new elements of the course include:

– *New* Tutorials and Summary Overview of all major SBIR and STTR Programs
– *New* Video to help companies assess agencies based on fit with their strategic goals
 – Multiple hours of video explaining the review process
–  Video review of ways to convert reviewers into fans and champions
– *New* 105 page Workbook and Worksheets to emphasize key points
– *New" Checklists and To Do lists to make sure teams don't miss a submission deadline
– *New* Proposal section examples from WINNING proposals
– In depth discussion of the the popular "40 Ways to Improve your SBIR proposal" Handout!

The VentureWrench Team created this new course, Develop a Winning SBIR Strategy: Insights from an Experienced Reviewer, to help entrepreneurs develop a successful strategy to tap into the SBIR and STTR programs for their technology innovations.

VentureWrench co-creator and Enclavix President & CEO, Nicole Toomey Davis said, "Many American small businesses, including Enclavix, have been the beneficiaries of SBIR or STTR funding.  It is an incredible resource for our deep technology entrepreneurs.  We created this course to help entrepreneurs approach this funding source strategically, to pick agencies that will support the company strategy and vision and help them learn to create a fundable, award-winning proposal."

PUNE, MAHARASTRA, INDIA, September 2, 2020 / — Wiseguyreports.Com Publish New Market Research Report On “Online Learning Market 2020 Global Analysis, Size, Share, Trends, Opportunities and Growth, Forecast 2026”
“Online Learning Market”
Online learning traces its roots back to 1960, University of Illinois, where the concept of accessing course material online was implemented for the first time. An intranet connection was established where students could find pre-recorded lectures books by using computers which could connect to the intranet. Now, however, the term ‘Online Learning” refers to using the content of various forms like tutorials, podcasts, and recorded lectures, e-Books, etc. found on the internet to learn. This has, of course, brought over a phenomenal shift in the way students are taught in schools and universities and brought home the idea of ‘learn from anywhere.’
The report covers all the major trends and drivers playing a key role in the growth of the Online Learning market.Online Learning market is segmented by User Type, Technology, Provider, and Region.

Key Players of Global Online Learning Market =>
Key players are adopting strategies such as investing in R&D,new product launches, expansion in technologyto stand out as strong competitors in the market. Global Online Learning is a competitive market with the presence of various global and regional players in the market. If you have any special requirements, please let us know and we will offer you the report as you want.

Market Dynamics
The Global Online Learning Market is primarily driven by the rising demand for cost-effective learning and training techniques. The need of the hour is efficient training, and learning methods have proven to be a boon for the Market as Online Learning has emerged as the one-stop solution to a variety of problems with traditional learning methods. With the rise in internet penetration all around the world, specially in developing countries like India, Brazil, and China is helping people get access to online learning. Therefore, market players have started adopting cloud-based e-Learning platforms to provide flexibility in content storage.
The increase in the number of smartphone and tablets sales every year is another major driver for this market as it has effectively increased the consumer base by a huge amount. The growing applications of technology in academic institutes, be it by offering more distance learning programs, or by using Learning Management Systems is another reason which augments this market. With the increase in smartphones and tablets have asked for more production of them. For instance, according to the Indian Cellular Association (ICA), the annual production of mobile phones within the country has increased from 3 million devices in 2014 to 11 million devices in 2017. India now accounts for 11 percent of global mobile production, which was only 3 percent in 2014.
This market does have a few factors that restrain it, though. The fact that online learning requires constant access to an internet connection means it would be hard to witness growth in areas with slow internet connectivity/ a lack of internet access. Also, the shift from traditional learning methods to technically advanced techniques requires a certain amount of prior knowledge. This transition would be difficult for those who aren’t ready to learn, and that poses another problem.
Segment Analysis
By User Type, the Global Online Learning Market is segmented into Academic Users and Corporate Users. The Academic User segment stands to take a major part of the market share, primarily because of the vast number of users and platforms available. The major reason why this happens is the fact that the term ‘academic users’ is an all-encompassing one, covering everything from standard educational use in universities, to pretty much anyone with access to an internet connection enrolling in courses online, from a place of their convenience. This segment is also forecasted to retain the tag of the fastest-growing segment in the period too. An Internshala survey has found that the number of students enrolled in an online course has increased six-fold in three years, from 2015-2018. Therefore, this trend suggests a significant rise in the use of online learning to develop and enhance skills. The Corporate Segment is also poised to have a healthy growth rate during the forecast period due to the plan of various organizations to provide online learning platforms to their employee
By Technology, the Global Online Learning Market is segmented into Mobile e-Learning Platforms, Learning Management Systems, Podcasts, Virtual Classrooms, Service Providers, and Content Providers. This segment is projected to be dominated by the Mobile e-Learning Platforms due to the increasing smartphone sales across the world, which effectively boosts the customer base by a huge amount. Smartphone sales in the year 2017, was put around 15.5 billion units, an increase of nearly 300 million units from the previous year. The advantage of smartphone applications over others is the mobility and ease of access to the content they provide.
Geographical Analysis
By geography, the global Online Learningmarket is segmented into North America, Asia-Pacific (APAC), Europe, South America, and the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
The Global Online Learning Market is expected to be concentrated in North America during the forecast period owing to the rising use of such e-Learning Platforms in corporate organizations across the region. The United States is going to have the majority market share as students and adults alike continue to increase their usage of online learning websites and applications. A recent survey conducted in the United States by BestColleges concluded that almost 50% of consumers choose Online Learning because of prior commitments and the advantages of deciding when to learn themselves.

Prodigy Learning awarded contract to provide online assessment platform for standardised testing in Irish primary and post-primary schools

One goal in our 2019-21 strategic plan is to produce a regularly updated suite of high-quality & relevant assessments that reflects best global practices & serves the needs of Irish educational system”

— Dr. Jude Cosgrove, Chief Executive Officer, Educational Research Centre

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, September 2, 2020 / — Ireland’s Educational Research Centre awards contract to Prodigy Learning to enable reliable, secure, engaging standardised testing

Dublin-headquartered global education technology firm, Prodigy Learning, is pleased to announce that it has been selected to provide its online assessment platform for use in the rollout of computer-based standardised testing in Irish primary and post-primary schools.

Following a 9-month multi-stage international tender process, Prodigy Learning’s “skillify” online assessment platform was selected over many other leading global testing and assessment solution providers by the Educational Research Centre (ERC), a statutory agency of the Department of Education. The contract is for an initial 5-year period.

The software-as-a-service solution from Prodigy Learning, built natively on Microsoft’s Azure cloud, will replace the ERC’s current computer-based standardised testing tool used in primary and post-primary schools. The new solution employed by the ERC will be known as ERC DOTS (ERC Drumcondra Online Testing System).

The ERC is mandated to provide and support the administration of tests for schools in Ireland, and aims to provide test-takers with an easy-to-use online assessment system that is reliable, secure, engaging and meaningful. The online tests complement the paper-based tests offered by the ERC, while at the same time providing a more engaging student experience and immediate, high-quality reports for schools.

“One of the goals in our 2019-2021 strategic plan is to produce a regularly updated suite of high-quality and relevant assessments that reflects best international practices and serves the needs of the Irish educational system” noted Dr. Jude Cosgrove, Chief Executive Officer, Educational Research Centre. “Securing a new best-in-class online assessment system is key to delivering on this goal. After an extensive procurement exercise, we are delighted to have selected Prodigy Learning to deliver the new system and have no doubt that it is a solution that can grow with Irish schools in line with their needs and with the rapidly-changing digital technology landscape in education.”

Prodigy Learning’s solution will provide an integrated online assessment system incorporating test authoring, item banking, secure test delivery with multiple assessment methods, student, school and test-item level reporting, and technical support. The cloud-based assessment platform will allow the ERC the flexibility to develop their own question types and test designs. Its intuitive design will allow schools throughout Ireland to easily select and administer tests, and its highly efficient test delivery system will help to ensure a stable and smooth testing experience for students and schools.

Commenting on the ERC tender award, Prodigy Learning Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Flood, said: “This national contract is a major win and vote of confidence in our online assessment platform at a time of growing worldwide demand for online learning and assessment tools. We are proud to be selected to provide this critical platform to Irish schools. Our team will be with the ERC every step of the way to continuously improve both the test-taking process and results based on continuous feedback.”

The platform will initially accommodate approximately 40,000 tests per year with the capacity to scale as needed. The five-year contract has an option to extend for up to three years and it is expected that more schools will continue to adopt online assessment. ERC plans to develop further tests to meet varied school needs after 2021.

The Accent Coach Discusses What An Accent Reduction Course Consists Of

With many individuals stuck at home as of late, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that online communication courses are taking off.

According to Roche, the ideal accent reduction course should offer a general guideline on the norms of the culture, helping individuals communicate effectively with others.”

— The Accent Coach

VERO BEACH, FL, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2020 / — With many individuals stuck at home as of late, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that online communication courses are taking off. Accent reduction courses are becoming more and more popular due to their ability to help individuals with accents speak clearer and more concise.

Yet, accent reduction courses aren’t just about reducing one’s accent. The Accent Coach explains, “I think a good accent reduction course is more than learning an accent, it’s overcoming your own biases and adopting the fun side of accent learning, and understanding how you can fit in. You decide how much you wish to do so.”

The Accent Coach, Claudette Roche, goes onto emphasize that not one accent is better than another. She says, “The goal is, ultimately, to get your message across as clearly, efficiently, and succinctly as possible. Accent reduction doesn’t necessarily mean reducing a person’s accent, although it does involve aspects of this, but more so helping them speak more clearly so that others in their workplace or at the store can understand them better.”

According to Roche, the ideal accent reduction course should offer a general guideline on the norms of the culture, helping individuals communicate effectively with others. She adds, “Since we are more or less in a multicultural society, there really isn’t a ‘wrong’ or ‘right’ way to speak. But some places and regions do have less cultural diversity, meaning this has to be taken into consideration when communicating with them.”

Generally, The Accent Coach doesn’t believe there is a one-size-fits-all approach for accent reduction training. She says, “Realistically, you have to go and try them out and see if it’s the right approach for you. Do your research. Look at various courses. There are so many that you are bound to find one that works for you.”

Re-Imagining The Education System (in response to Coronavirus)

protective shield for a table

We want to do our part to keep your kids safe this year in the classroom. Introducing the Study Shield 101 from Formaspace Contract.

makerspace in education

Formaspace created the heavy-duty tables and desks for the Arizona State University makerspace shown above.

As schools prepare to welcome students back, we take a look at the changes that facility managers need to make to ensure schools are safe.

If done correctly, reopening schools appears to be safe. Based on the experience of other countries and research, children are less likely to transmit the virus and have lower morbidity rates.”

— Formaspace

AUSTIN, TEXAS, UNITED STATES, September 1, 2020 / — After months of overseeing their children’s online instruction at home, the question on the lips of every parent with school or college-age kids is, “will it be safe for my children to go back to school?”

Meanwhile, teachers and school administrators, who were thrust into the unenviable position of suddenly having to create an online instruction curriculum out of thin air just a few months ago, are now grappling with the next challenge: preparing to welcome students back on campus and devising plans and policies to keep them safe once they return.

12 Compelling Reasons Why Students Need To Return To School

Quite understandably, there’s been a lot of uncertainty among parents, instructors, and school administrators about the various proposed plans for students to return to in-person instruction.

Nonetheless, school districts across the country are working hard to prepare their campuses to welcome back returning students.

Here are 12 reasons why advocates for reopening schools believe it’s the right thing to do:

1. Schools Underpin the Economy

Economists and government officials believe we need functioning schools for the economy to recover. Many working parents are simply unable to return to their jobs if they have school-age children at home. Furthermore, the economy depends upon young school graduates entering the workforce to replace retiring baby boomers.

2. Evidence that Schools Can Reopen Safely

If done correctly, reopening schools appears to be safe, based on the experience of other countries and research showing children are less likely to transmit the virus and have significantly lower morbidity rates than adult populations. We want to do our part to keep your kids safe this year in the classroom with the Study Shield 101 from Formaspace Contract.

3. Pediatrician Group Argues that Schools Need to Reopen for Student Well-Being

Medical experts at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommend reopening schools, pointing out there is a greater risk of long-term harm due to developmental problems if students remain out of school.

4. Schools Help Develop Socialization Skills

Students not attending school will miss out on developing important socialization skills, such as cooperation and teamwork, recognized as key factors for success in life and at work.

Traveling Tuskegee Airmen Exhibit is making history with multiple stops across the country.

It is going to inspire. It is going to let people see that they can whatever they want in life, regardless of background.”

— Dr. Theresa Price

UNITED STATES, September 1, 2020 / — National College Resources Foundation has partnered with Chauncey Spencer II., who is currently traveling over 7,000 miles with the African Americans in Aviation Traveling Museum. The African Americans in Aviation Traveling Museum took off August 17, 2020 with a ceremony hosted by the Palm Springs Air Museum.

The launch of the traveling museum was a celebration of the momentous journey driven by Chauncey Spencer, accompanied by an NCRF intern Torii Hilbert, a recent college graduate from Long Beach, California. Mr. Spencer is excited to have Torii along with him, “He is going to get a good lesson on what it means to set a goal and not back off. Don’t let anyone tell you no, because no is not a part of our vocabulary. Yes is what’s in our vocabulary.”

When asked what this launch means to her, Dr. Theresa Price, Founder and Executive Director of NCRF, emphatically said, “It is going to inspire. It is going to let people see that they can whatever they want in life, regardless of background.” To Dr. Price, the museum is saying to African American students “Look, you are a part of this. People who look like you made this happen.”

It was important to Mr. Spencer to partner with NCRF for this nationwide tour. “We are working to create a bridge for students to learn about aviation history. Despite all the odds against them, young people can succeed if they have the will, the opportunity, and the support of the community. Teaching African American students about the success of other African Americans in a program that directly relates to teaching academic skills and knowledge is critical and necessary.”

The tour will cover over 7,000 miles with stops at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Airport and Tuskegee Airmen Museum in Detroit, the NASA Space Camp in Huntsville, AL, Johnson Space Center in Houston, the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in D.C., historically black colleges: Tuskegee University, Texas Southern, Howard University and even Chauncey Spencer Sr.’s alma mater Virginia University of Lynchburg and several other significant locations across the country.

As part of NCRF’s S.T.E.A.M. program, the traveling museum exists to inspire students interested in aviation and the Aerospace industry. Dr. Theresa Price comments, “There would be no Tuskegee Airmen, no Red Tails without Mr. Spencer. He paved the way for black pilots and astronauts. We want all to know, young and old, about the history and sacrifices made by the black aviators who were responsible for convincing Congress to include blacks in the pre-World War II Civilian Pilot Training Program.”

NCRF, a 501c3 organization, has created programs and initiatives to provide guidance, resources, information and pipelines to empower students toward positive post-secondary pursuits. NCRF’s mission is to curtail high school dropout rate and increase degree and/or certificate enrollment among underserved and underrepresented students. NCRF’s vision is to close the gap in educational achievement, workforce, and economic disparities with the goal to end racism and racial inequality.
