Jon Parrish Gives Us His Top Three Reasons to Go Into Hospitality

Jon Parrish and his wife

Jon Parrish and his wife

Jon Parrish

Jon Parrish

Many people starting their careers don’t know much about the opportunities available, says Jon Parrish

NAPLES, FL, USA, May 29, 2021 / — Hospitality is a fast-growing and popular field, but many people starting their careers don’t know much about the opportunities available. It’s popular among people in the know, says Jon Parrish, but the general public is largely uneducated about how they can build a versatile and long-lasting career in the hospitality space. If you love interacting with people, thinking on your feet in a fast-paced environment, and have killer customer service skills, hospitality may be for you.

There Are Many Career Options says Jon Parrish
One of the best things about hospitality, says Jon Parrish, is that there’s a niche for every interest. Most people think of hotel jobs when they think of hospitality, but there are also jobs in event planning, bars and restaurants, travel agencies, marketing, tourism, spa and fitness, entertainment managers, and passenger services. And that’s just to name a few!

And because almost all hospitality jobs involve a certain level of customer-facing skill, you’re developing transferable skills no matter where you start out. You can try a little of everything or switch roles as needed. When you work in hospitality, experience in any related field is resumed gold.

It’s a Fast-Growing Field
We live in an increasingly global world, says Jon Parrish. And that means that people are traveling more than ever. And with the rise of social media and other visual platforms online, “experiences” are the number one money-making industry in the world. Food, beverages, breweries, craft hotels, one-of-a-kind getaways… All of that entertainment and infrastructure for travelers comes from the hospitality industry.

And despite the pandemic, there’s no sign that this growth will stop in future years. In fact, economists and sociologists alike are expecting a boom in travel as COVID-19 restrictions loosen and people are finally allowed to reenter society.

It Often Leads to Travel
If you’re interested in traveling the world, hospitality is the career path for you, says Jon Parrish. From hotels to airlines to travel agencies, many hospitality jobs allow you to travel all over the world for conferences, training, or career advancement. And traveling for work means traveling on the company dime – not a bad deal!

And if you fall in love with a certain location while traveling for work, you’ll likely be able to find a job there. For instance, many hotel chains have English-speaking positions open in their international locations.

Jon Parrish owns, operates, and manages Oceanic Blue Retreats, LLC and several other business entities in the hospitality industry with properties in multiple states. He loves the fast-paced world of hospitality and the opportunity to travel all over the world.

Many SEO agencies think creating more backlinks and updating articles is an indispensable work in optimization. No, SEO is more than that!

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, May 28, 2021 / — Creating backlinks and article post is only part of SEO Work. In fact, SEO optimization is far more than simply posting links and updating articles. Let’s discover this further.

Why do you think that SEO is all about creating backlinks and updating articles?

It is not just SEO novices. Many so-called SEO veterans will be confused. What is more confused is: “The website has basically been optimized where everything is done. There is nothing to do except post links and update articles every day.” In this type of situation, especially after a series of Baidu and Google algorithm adjustments, many people seem to have little hope for SEO. In fact, there is no in-depth understanding of the real SEO technology at all.

SEO is far more than what you thought before, and the scope and ability of SEO are far more than what everyone did before. Posting links and updating articles is very basic work for SEO. SEO is not fun to do at all.

Insistence leads to giving up. In fact, we should not underestimate the issue of external links and update articles. It is not a simple matter to post a high-quality external link. It also requires a lot of time and investment to update high-quality content.

Keywords Analysis – Chinese SEO Expert Vancouver
For those keywords that are not very competitive, and low search volume, yes, you can rank them high on Google or Baidu easily. However, for high competitive keywords, you need to study your competitor’s strategy: content marketing Vancouver, high-quality backlinks, images……

On-page Optimization | SEO Services Vancouver
We should also be focused on internal links, discover the hot topic nowadays to enrich your content marketing, mining the potential needs of users, and the development of diversified traffic. Wait, there are too many, so I wouldn’t go into too much detail here. You need to keep thinking and exploring the process of SEO practically.

SEO is a work that pays great attention to details. We must continue to explore new knowledge, tap more potential needs of users, understand how to optimize the website from the perspective of user needs, and persevere. , In order to bring traffic to the website, be recognized/index by search engines, and get a better ranking.

Peter Fleming's Essays, Stories Explores Struggle with Depression

Insignificant Others by Peter Fleming

Insignificant Others by Peter Fleming

Insignificant Others - back cover

Insignificant Others – back cover

Peter George Eric Fleming

Peter George Eric Fleming

"Insignificant Others" portrays journey of healing from trauma, with servings of flippant humor

ONTARIO, CANADA, May 28, 2021 / — As he wrestled with depression and even contemplated taking his own life, veteran Hamilton Spectator contributor dug deep and pulled himself out of that pit. In doing so, he has compiled stories and essays that reflect on these experiences and took a life on their own. This resulted in "Insignificant Others," a simultaneously meditative and irreverrently humorous compilation that encompasses the author's struggle with suicide and his triumph.

"Insignificant Others'' is a collection of pieces written during Fleming's recovery from clinical depression. In that period, he wrote sixty works, with the cream of the crop compiled in the pages of "Insignificant Others," while the Irish-themed ones ended up in his first book "An Irish Tale and Other Stories." With his writings Fleming treats readers to a tapestry of intertwined stories and essays that he masterfully arranges to invoke the serendipitous nature of human experience. One of the stories is an excruciatingly hilarious depiction of the author's hip replacement, showing how Fleming coped with the process. This is one of the stories Fleming has read at Rebel's Rock Irish Pub in Hamilton, Ontario.

By writing this book, Fleming was not initially out to amuse or entertain readers but to save himself from the specter of suicide – and it achieved that goal. Now he offers readers everywhere these compelling and funny ruminations to give them both food for thought and loads of laughs.

"At the very least I think it will seize you, squeeze a tear from your eye, discombobulate your soul, mesmerize and finally throttle you senseless black and blue. From a Canadian guy, it's a real roller-coaster through heck (ahem) and if you haven't laughed yourself silly by the final page, I'll be thoroughly pissed!" Fleming says.

About the Author
Peter Fleming is a longtime writer, starting in student publications before pursuing his craft professionally. He started out freelancing for local magazines and newspapers, had a play produced by Brock University's Department of English and Drama, and became a writer and editor for a local advertising agency. He also taught special education for the Hamilton/Wentworth board of education.

Meratas Raises $2.2m from Jason Calacanis’ Launch Fund, in an Oversubscribed Round

Meratas, the Income Share Agreement leader

Meratas, the Income Share Agreement leader

Meratas Logo

Meratas and Jason Calacanis' Launch Fund mission to change the way education is financed, using Income Share Agreements to hold schools accountable to outcomes.

In the next decade we believe that the best schools will be so confident in their ability to provide a quality education that they will prefer to get paid via an income share agreement”

— Jason Calacanis

STAMFORD, CONNECTICUT, USA, May 28, 2021 / — Meratas is the leading Income Share Agreement (ISA) software company, providing a full-service, turnkey, SaaS platform to design, originate, and manage ISAs.

Schools, workforce accelerators, and skills training bootcamps partner with Meratas to provide innovative incentive-aligned tuition options designed to increase enrollment and improve outcomes. From custom ISA programs to data-driven enrollment management, Meratas helps institutions advance clear strategic objectives: improved retention, increased enrollment, and better outcomes tracking.

Using a platform approach, Meratas seeks to democratize access to education by hosting a marketplace where students can easily find ISA resources, research, and apply to schools offering incentive-aligned tuition programs. In turn, schools use Meratas to administer ISA programs with complete data transparency, better underwriting, and API enabled links to their student information systems.

Meratas’ oversubscribed round was filled entirely by Jason Calacanis’ Launch Fund. Darius Goldman, CEO and Founder of Meratas, said: “We’re very excited to work with Jason and his syndicate, as he’s a big believer in ISAs as part of the future of education.”

“We believe in the power of ISAs to hold education providers accountable to their students,” said angel investor Jason Calacanis, who lead the round. “In the next decade we believe that the best schools will be so confident in their ability to provide a quality education that they will prefer to get paid via an income share agreement.”

Meratas was founded by Goldman, an early ISA advocate, after experiencing frustration with the limitations of legacy ISA providers who were unable to efficiently scale or provide custom solutions. “At Meratas, we’re committed to identifying and solving edge cases that other companies don’t even think about,” said Goldman. “For example, for one of our partners, we modified our platform to support hosting a regulated loan contract, but with repayments correlated to earned income. This was in response to feedback from the California BPPE, as part of the school’s accreditation process. We were able to launch this new offering in such a way that did not interrupt the school’s admissions cycle.”

As a thought leader in the ISA ecosystem, Meratas will use the newly raised funds to deepen its technological commitment to offering more innovative incentive aligned products, all with unparalleled emphasis on provider and consumer benefits. Meratas is the first and only ISA servicer to make standard consumer benefits such as: incremental payment caps, income share percentage discounts, and cap paydown matching grants.

About Meratas:

Meratas is the leading Income Share Agreement (ISA) development company, providing a full-service, turnkey, SaaS platform to design, originate, and manage ISAs. Income Share Agreements are proven to mitigate the upfront cost of education, while promoting accessibility and increasing enrollment. ISAs carry no interest and have lower default rates that private student loans. With Meratas, schools can quickly and cost-efficiently launch a fully customized ISA program with best-in-class scalability and an unparalleled emphasis on provider and consumer benefits. Schools partner with Meratas to achieve clear strategic objectives: improved retention, increased enrollment, and better outcomes tracking.

LAUSD Backs Down on Experimental COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

LAUSD Superintendent Beutner and HR Head Del Cueto Back Down After Employees Sue Over Their Illegal COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate

SANDPOINT, IDAHO, UNITED STATES, May 28, 2021 / — In March, Health Freedom Defense Fund (HFDF) helped employees of Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) to sue LAUSD Superintendent Austin Beutner and HR head Linda Del Cueto over their illegal COVID-19 vaccine mandate. Now, after months of pressure, the California School Boards Association (CSBA) has conceded the merits of the lawsuit and walked back their position.

No COVID-19 shot available today has been licensed or approved by FDA, rather, they have been issued under Emergency Use Authorization (EUA). As HFDF’s legal team has argued, consistent with federal law, EUA products are “investigational” and as such may not be mandated. In fact, the terms of the EUA specifically require that recipients of EUA products be informed of the benefits, risks, and “the option to accept or refuse administration of the product.”

While the defendants have not yet legally admitted defeat, CSBA spokesman Troy Flint told The San Diego Tribune, “K-12 schools or districts, on their own, cannot require the COVID vaccines while the vaccines only have emergency use authorization.”

As evidenced by the lawsuit against LAUSD’s Beutner and Del Cueto, Flint conceded, “A school or district would likely face public backlash and legal challenges if it decides unilaterally to require COVID vaccinations for students, the association noted.”

LAUSD’s COVID mandate and threat of termination for employees choosing not to take these experimental injections violates not only federal law but the basic human right to bodily autonomy. No American should be forced to choose between feeding their family and injecting themselves with any product, particularly an experimental one, as are all the COVID vaccinations.

Ever since the world learned of the abominations committed by the Nazi regime, which lead to the Nuremberg Code, free nations have recognized that forced medical experimentation of any kind is both inhumane and unethical. This human right against medical experimentation has been ratified by the 1964 Declaration of Helsinki and the US Code of Federal Regulations. In 2005, the General Conference of UNESCO adopted the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights, requiring free and informed consent for the practice of ethical medicine. There can be no doubt these treaties and regulations reaffirm the basic human right to bodily autonomy and the right to voluntary informed consent.

It is time for all Americans to reject the notion that a government or a government bureaucrat wields the power or authority to force another human being to violate their person with an unwanted medical intervention. If Americans can be forcibly medicated, we are not free.

Volunteers from the Church of Scientology Sacramento provided resources to families at the 31s annual Kids Day in Rancho Cordova.

Volunteers from the Church of Scientology Sacramento reached out to families after a year that has disrupted young lives.

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA, UNITED STATES, May 28, 2021 / — Kids Day is a tradition in Rancho Cordova, California: For three decades the city, just east of Sacramento, has organized free festivities include bike rodeos, crafts stations, petting zoos, train rides, and obstacle courses. Exhibitors set up booths to promote child health and provide resources for families. Because of the pandemic, last year the city canceled the event. But in 2021, to make the day special for kids despite the many restrictions still in place, the city created a drive-thru event with live entertainment, live animals for the kids (water buffalo, camel and zebra), and a health and resources fair for parents. Volunteers from nonprofits supported by the Sacramento Church of Scientology set up colorful tents on the event route and provide educational resources to families driving through.

Taking part in the fair were volunteers from the Sacramento chapter of:

*Foundation for a Drug-Free World, which empowers youth and adults with factual information about drugs so they can make informed decisions and live drug-free.

*The Way to Happiness Foundation, which restores trust and honesty through use of The Way to Happiness, a common sense guide to better living.

*Citizens Commission on Human Rights, a nonprofit mental health watchdog that protects individuals from abusive or coercive practices, and

*Scientology Volunteer Ministers, a religious social service with the motto that no matter the problem or situation, “something can be done about it."

The Church of Scientology of Sacramento was dedicated in January 2012 by Scientology ecclesiastical leader Mr. David Miscavige. The Church is designed to serve as a home for the entire community and a meeting ground of cooperative effort to uplift people of all denominations.
